Challenge

Above Board Construction has been in the FIre, Water, Wind and Restoration business for over 20 years. They wanted to ensure that they had a website that reflected their professionalism as well as their staff and service record do. We needed to escape the oringal WordPress design and create something a little more fitting while at the same time incorporating a huge regional marketing push they were launching for breast cancer awareness.

The Process

Above Board Construction Before and AfterDesign
Above Board Construction was using a WordPress powered theme that wasn't very complimentary to their service record. We had to completely do away with all of the existing information and basically start from scratch. The great part about Above Board Construction is that they were so ready for a change they had all of their documentation and desired content ready at our consultation meeting!

Marketing
After the overall layout was complete we needed to find some way for their breast cancer awareness campaign to jump out at the site visitor and truly make an impact. We modified the menu system to have a custom colored button to match the "pink" theme.

Because it was such a great cause that Above Board was promoting we made sure that the page was noticeable. Using the same design elements as the rest of the website - only with a coating of pink - the page truly pops at you.

Scripting
Above Board needed to also tie their event into multiple social networks. Their fundraising campaign was dependant upon visitors "following" them on Twitter and "Liking" them on Facebook. Each action would elicit a monetary donation by Above Board to the charity. We included a twitter stream on the promotion page and also a counter for Twitter Followers and Facebook Likes.

The Result

The new aboveboardconst.com website was launched in September 2010, just in time for their October breast cancer awareness campaign.
